It should be fine. If it was like 1-50V it would have been a big problem. 0.13V may cause a little ground hum at high volume. If so, you may want to ground the laptop better.
Thanks so much!
I hooked up the joypad to my Sony adaptor I purchased for my car as you described and IT WORKS FLAWLESSLY!!!
I did as you suggested and checked for voltage across the the ground of the joypad and the ground of the Sony adaptor and I found 0.13v... could this cause a problem in the longrun ? Is there anything I can do about it?
I only found this voltage when the laptop was powered using the incar charger, it was 0v when on battery..
I'm soooo pleased it works, thanks for your help!!!
Awesome, just wanted to double check I wasn't slowly cooking my ECU or anything
Thanks for all the advice, I really owe you one
How much .dll tweaking is required for windows to recognize the K8055 as a gameport device?
There are a few K8055 plugins for frontends and some have source. Just search the forum.
please, who knows how to calibrate the SWC? what to do when it asks center position?
is there something like standard resistances for steering wheel buttons?
This scrip works excellent. Zorro is an excellent coder (well we all know that since he made phoco).
But I have an annoying issue: when the computer goes to standby, it upset the scrip and gets a red X and it shows "ERROR - Joystick Connection"
I'm using an eliminator gamepad. Did anyone experienced the same?
Any help its really appreciate.
No one helping with the "ERROR - Joystick Connection"
There is CarPC JoyCon that converts steering wheel controls into USB keyboard.
Resistance output steering wheel controls can be directly connected.
