    Wireless Keyboard

Can anyone recommend a fairly small in size wireless keyboard that I can link up to the computer in the boot?

I want to be able to program the keys as well.

    Any help would be appreciated

Chris, I bought a IFree RF keyboard (not from this link's site, but from ebay).

    http://www.pcdirectsource.com/Item.cfm?ID=1117

The Pros, its RF, which doesn't have to be 'aimed' at the interface unit (infrared types usually has to be aimed), it has a built-in trackball, and its small.

Now the cons.... I can't seem to find the makers of that keyboard on the net, and there seems to be a conflict with the USB ports.

For some reason when all my USB devices are connected, the right side of the keyboad will produce numbers instead of the letters that i push. I did find a review of that keyboard and that guy had the same problem as I, but so far i cant seem to correct the problem.

The range is around 30-40 feet, now if i could only see the screen at that distance and fix the problem with the USB, this would be a GREAT keyboard!

    Cheers Pokey.

Is it possible that you have like a number lock disabled on your keyboard? Because the right hand side of letters on my laptop also have numbers, so when you press the num lock button you are able to use them.

if compact is what you want, the gyration RF keyboard cant be beat. my roomy has got one. its basically a laptop keyboard in a plastic case. also it has a number of programable multimedia buttons on it. for mousing, they have cordless optical mouse that has a gyroscope in it, so you can literally pick it up and use it in mid air. also, for $10 of the manufacturers website, can get a hardcover to snap over the top of the kayboard... VERY nice when its kickin around the car.

they recently upgraded range for their products, so all the "old" 25' ones can be had fairly cheaply on ebay for about $50

Chris, Good news... turned out to be a usb conflict (yes, i checked the cap lock..duh )I unistalled all the usb controllers, went into BIOS and in plug-n-pray, i selected to let the OS determine usb irq (something like that) and then installed each device one by one. Touchscreen, wireless keyboard, then GPS, and that fixed it.

Yes, that an outstanding keyboard now.

Check on ebay, thats where we found this one.
