messed up touchscreen

another person with a touchscreen problem and have done all the searching with no solution.

Installed the liliput in the car, and everything was working real well. One day started the pc, and the touch screen started to act funny. re-innstalled drivers, and tried all the drivers recommended on the threads with no change.

Currently, the problem is that the touchscreen only inputs all the way on the right edge. wherever i touch it, it doesn't matter the mouse pointer is all the way on the right allthough it does move up and down but just not right or left.
So far have:
have taken my dash apart to remove lcd and check connections all seem ok.
have, tried all diifferent drivers, checked din9 connector, and re-installed win XP but still same thing.
The computer does recognize it as a valid usb connection, and now that it's out of the dash nothing on the touchscreen itself so nothing is pusing on it.

please help,
don't know if ithe touch screen is just shot or what

Hey!

I have had the same problem as you. I am on my third screen, and I am about to send this one back and just get a full refund.

The first one was cracked, The second one got no power, and this one has the same problem that you have.... I hope someone can answer this post, beucase I don't know what to do!? I checked all the cables, etc, re-installed, opened the screen and made sure the ribbons were all connected, and I'm getting nothing.

I think the touch panel is just shot.
I'm learning that lilliput is ****, unfortunately!

Not sure what your problem is but if it is the touch panel, I have a Lilliput 7" touch panel for sale for $35 + shipping. PM me if interested.

Same thing was wrong with mine. Sent it to Lilliput in Cali back in May. They had to send in back to Hong Kong to get repaired since I modified the casing instead of replacing it. They received it May 12th and I havent heard a word from them since.

That sucks. I'm sick of this bull****, its the 3rd screen that has been a piece of crap..

I'm using the 8.4, not the standard 7 inch.. it wouldn't fit

My screen has worked fin euntil the last couple of days. I think the touch screen controller went out.

The lilliputs are cheap, both in price and quality. The screen itslef is used, but works well. The touchscreen has trouble in many units and will frequently need replacing (but try finding a replacement). The connector can be twitchy and the power 'egg' is a piece of s**t.

I'd recommend a non-touchscreen lilliput, but if you want the touchscreen to work then get a Xenarc. At the very least get your lilliput from MP3CAR, Armen at D I G I T A L W W or L O G I C S U P P L Y. You stand a good chance of getting a replacement from them if you get a bad one.

I got my lilliput from a canadian supplier I now don't trust. When he has them in stock I may get a 7" touchscreen kit from Armen to replace the standard lilliput one.

Yeah, I think tha I am going to buy the Xenarc next week.. Once my Lilly comes back in it is going in the For Sale forums.
