try removing the drivers before you reinstall..... i think its a driver problem...... oh yeah... and after you remove the drivers unplug the touch screen from the USB... install the drivers then plug in USB :-P
Till yesterday my touch screen controller was working fine. Today I connected it to a self powered HUB and since then my PC is detecting as a unkown USB device. There are other devices connected to the USB Hub and is working fine. I tried reinstalling the driver but no use. Any idea what could be the problem? or will I have to get a new controller ???

Go into Mother board BIOS, and somewhere like PNP devices you have an option to let the MB or the OS to decide what USB addresses to use. If you're running XP, then choose OS.
Save.
Reboot and go into safemode and unistall all USB devices/etc.
Reboot into your OS again and as USB devices prompt you to install, do it in your normal way.
Everything from now on should be fine.

Gonna try that. My touch screen is recognized, but touching it doesn't cause and movement. Hope the controller didn't go out.
