like on an ATM machine?
ok so im looking for a prog that can assign a keyboard button to click a certain X, Y coordinate on the screen. something like keyquick for palm OS.
what i want to do is have the screen in the dash and have the buttons surroudning the screen maybe about 4 on each side. *=button
have the buttons tap a certain area of the screen. theres a few cars out there with the screen and they use this system instead of the thouch screen.

Just use the keyboard plugin for girder, then map the plugin events to mouse moves and clicks. I don't have girder in front of me and don't recall the specific instructions, but I have done this to have a button on a web page clicked everytime i pressed a button on my X10 remote. Look at some of the help pages on the girder website for more info.Originally Posted by beaverpants
Wow, what a good idea! you could basically make a cheap touchscreen-like interface, then write your own skin for mediacar or something. This would be a great solution to my problem of getting the bastard touchscreen for less than 150. Would work great with a ps1 screen. Dann, keep us updated!
So how's it going? Any progress?
