    KVT-910 Interface with ODBII Diag...

    Hello, I have searched for information and can not find it so I post...

    I have a Kenwood KVT-910 Touchscreen DVD Indash. I am interisted in getting the OBDII diagnostic interface from http://obddiagnostics.com/. My question is will I be able to use the Touchscreen feature of my kvt on the screens?

    Short answer, no you will not be able to use the touchscreen of your headunit with this software.

    I thought touchscreens just worked like the mouse, clicking on a location that you press?

    The touch screens of such units have their controllers embedded deep into the unit's electronics and they don't provide any interface for the PC. No interface, no touch screen emulating a mouse.
    So I'm sorry it won't work.

    Yea, that is kind of what I thought. That's cool I guess I will just have to fiberglass in another screen! Muhahahaha

    What about the overlay touchscreens?
