    i have one of those too..but mine is a TM1002SP...according to the guide, this should be a serial touchpad...now for the trick question...itīs ripped out of an Compaq Presario 1060...and has 4 additional CD player buttons added...Stop, Play, Fvd and Rev...the output from the touchpad has 8 connetors to the button PCB (yes, its a separate one) and from there i have another cable to the 4 additional buttons! so, its 1 touchpad, 1 central PCB where the mousekeys are located, and then thereīs another PCB for the additional buttons...now from the central PCB i have 10 wires coming out...and i cant find anything about it on synaptics homepage =/ anyone have an idea how to solve this?

    I have decided that I need to put a touchpad in the top of my console lid, towards the back. So people in the backseat can do stuff on the computer. They will probably just switch songs in the middle of the track to **** me off, but oh well. Maybe I will have it switched. Child lock on the touchpad. Yes, excellent..........

    I've got a TM41PDD233 that has a single 12 pin connector on it.. Anyone know if that connector is the same as the 12 pin in the pdf for the TM41Pxx140?

    Thanks,
    -Matt

    Convert synaptics mouse touch pad to PS/2 for desktop is possible!!

    I have a touchpad recovered of old portable PC and I have turned it successfully to use in my desktop computer, only required a little effort and time, to find the form to connect all the pins, in special the positive part of 5V. In my case that the touchpad slightly have a strip of printed circuit more thickness than other that is the positive line. And the diagram mentioned here works very well. the order of the pins is:

    PIN1= +5V PIN2= Data PIN3= PC-CLK PIN4=Right Button PIN5=Left Button PIN6=GND PIN7=Not Use PIN8=Not Use

    I have to reopen this thread. I just got a broken asus A6000 from my friend and took out the touchpad. Here we have the touchpad, a scroll function on the right side, left and right click, 5 different lights and 5 buttons for play, stop, forward, backword and one that says "CD" (dunno what that one is for). The connector has 22 (I think) contact-points, it is about 0.9mm in length which makes the width of each connector maybe about 0,2mm (I have no idea if my calculations are right but they are almost to small to count). How on earth am I going to connect anything here? No way can be this steady with my soldering iron :P Can someone please strike the idea of getting this beauty into my car dead, or is it actually hope of making it work?
