PANASONIC Slim DVD, WHO HAS IT WORKING?

I have this slim panasonic DVd player and i cant get it to work in windows. Im using this IDE to USB converter and i have it all powered up but i dont understand how to make it recognize the dvd. Does anyone know of drivers or anything, WHO HAS THIS THING WORKING?

I tried to get a camera to work like that once, never could get it to work.
I just bought the Panasonic DVD Slot loader and an external enclosure:http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...145-157&depa=0
Haven't installed it yet, but maybe you should go that route?
That IDE to USB converter is probably the problem.

I have an internal Slim slot & an external USB slim slot.. both panasonics... both fine...

should be native to Windoz

its the usb controller my friend - has a similar problem trying to get an old slimline dvd drive workign with windows. It was just a stroke of luck that got it working

Keep reconnecting the usb-ide converter to the drive while there is power to the drive and see what windows does.
