Can anyone suggest a microphone to mount on my windshield or dash for voice commanded controls?
Took a headset mic setup and cut the mic out of it. placed it between the headliner and roof of my car. Hangs down far enough to pick up voice, but is not obnoxious. Just make sure the sound pickup area is poited towards you. If you want pics, let me know and I will post.

I got a logitec usb that you can get from best buy. works pretty good. its on a little platform and then has a long stick thing that you can adjust to move towards you. I took it apart and put the USB circuitry inside my dash somwhere and extended the wires from the mic to the usb circuitry just a bit and mounted the element in the A pillar. I went USB cause i didnt wanna pick up noise all the way to the back and its easy to manage!
CarPC install is starting to come along again...
I have the perfect one. But i threw away the pack. And I dont know the symbol on the mic. I can take a pic of it if anyone wants to guess. Tomorrow if i get a chance ill stop by the place i got it from. I think one of the people that works there is on this forum. Any computer leprechauns out there?
I put it next to my cell phones microphone, at the top of the A piller, they are about the same size.
Sorry for the lame pic its dark our and all i had was a flash light that was about to die. Flash was to bright for the pic.
you can get a regular stick mic at bestbuy or somewhere for like 7 dollars
Old hands free kit with 2.5mm / 3.5 mm jack ie Motorola??
Well went and looked to see if they had any more. They didnt. Sorry can any one else tell who makes that mic?
