I've benn using something identical, but wired.

This is ideal and not much more than a wired version..

    Cheaper on eBay

The thing is... What will you be using it for? Just the ocassional time you need to do something on your PC and a mouse would be faster? Cuz if your using it as an actual input device to use all the time I don't see it being practical.. I mean.. You'd have to pick it up / put it down.. Etc..

I wonder if it can be placed instead of the gear stick. But I fear it will fall appart soon.

Looks very clean but I don't think the green ball suits your interior. Could you paint it maybe?

The ball was supposed to be blue (...not that is much of an improvement over the green).

I am not confident paint would hold up

It may be more probable to find a replacement ball (a marble maybe?)
