    Goldmine Touchpad Drivers

Hi. I have this goldmine ALPS touchpad. The cursor moves and I can use the buttons, but when I install any touchpad driver, the mouse doesn't even move. Anyone have the proper drivers for this that they tested with Windows XP?

Looks an awful lot like the ones in the DELL Cp series laptops, I would try some of the drivers from Dell's site.
1.6GHz HP e-PC, 768MB RAM, 120GB WD HDD, Slim DVD-ROM, Onboard sound & video, 7" Lilliput, USB GPS Mouse, Audiovox FM Modulator, Vector 400 Watt Power Inverter, Windows XP Pro SP2, iGuidance 2, 15" Samsung LCD for the rear *Carputer not installed*

I downloaded those and installed them. It installed their software, but there is absolutely no touch sensitivity. The touchpad just acts like a mouse, even though it says Synapsys PS/2 Port Pointing Device, and it says that its working properly, but the tap to click is grayed out in the settings.

[Edit]: If pins 1 and 2 are connected, can they cause this?

It's called an ALPS VersaGlide, looks like they might have dropped support after Windows2000, but some people have got it to work

    Hope this helps.
