Yes I still have to update my powermate driver, but the powermate is connected to its own, USB 2 port on the motherboard, no hub.
Funny thing is, this started happening sort of about the same time, I updated my USB audigy sound card's drivers
I feel your pain! I installed some drivers for a cheap USB sound card. Afterwards, my powermate behaved just like yours, as did my wireless mouse. A couple of weeks ago, I formatted my hard drive because the problem got to the point my touchscreen was effected, too (plus I had Win2k). I installed XP and reinstalled most of my software and now I'm back to 100% reliable operation again! It probably would be a good idea to follow the advice from sivart321 and go a step further by updating ALL your USB drivers by allowing the software to check for updates automatically on MS's site.Originally Posted by stimps

That's certainly an amazing coincidence that sound cards drivers on two different computers cause the identical fault. If you're running XP you can do a "restore to XXXX" where XP basically uninstalls the drivers and resets the computer to the way it was before they were installed...Originally Posted by stimps

Thanks.

I've experienced this as well. It works about 90% of the time but every now and then it gets off and only a reboot fixes it.
