got the FM Mouse in the mail today, "Can't find FM Mouse" on any computer..

I don't know if i'm doing anything wrong... I'm running Windows XP Pro SP2

I plug the mouse in, windows recognizes the mouse part ... I install the application for the radio, reboot ... and it can't find the FM Mouse

I try radiator with the plugin, and it doesn't output any sound

I got the same results from all 3 computers in my house running the same OS...

Am I doing something wrong? Anyone know what to do?

    Thanks..

I have been fighting the same problem. my carpc and my main home pc both have the same problem. I started thinking it was the mouse that went bad but I installed the software first then plugged it into my wifes PC and it worked fine. I am thinking we need to completely wipe all traces of the install out of the registry and hard drive and start over. Hopefully I will try this sometime this week and will let you know what I do if I get it working.

I plugged the mouse in before I installed the software that came with it. Under Device Manager, Windows Recognizes it as a "Cypress USB Mouse"

Do I have to install seperate drivers for the FM Radio part? I installed the radio program ... but it can't find the FM Mouse..

Ok, I just fixed my home PC. Do this:
Make sure the mouse is not connected to the USB port.
Run the FM Mouse "Uninstall" from Start > All Programs > FM Mouse
After the uninstall is complete. delete the directory c:\Radio (assuming you chose the default install directory)
Put the CD back in and run the install again.
Shut down just to be sure...
plug the mouse in then power back up. The default control setting is for "line in" so make sure that is what you plug the 1/8 jack into.

let me know if this works for you...
I have not tested this on my carpc yet..

man this thing is tempermental .... I tried it on my mom's computer.... I installed the software, shut the computer off, plugged it in, and booted up. works fine lol...

I tried uninstalling and resintalled and everything on my Pc, but no go. I REALLY hope this will work fine on the carpc....

I don't see why we have to even use the stupid program that came with this (besides the radio.dll) I want to install as little as possible because i'm using a 512mb CF card not a HDD...

the computer i'm on now has the creative audigy 2 zs platinum of that makes any difference...

I've been using this thing for a couple of weeks now in the house without a single problem. In the car however, there is no output......ARGHH

For the radio all the functions for it are contained in radio.dll, however, it appears the hardware isn't activated unless the mouse is installed and enabled in windows.

At a minimum you will definitly need the mouse driver to be installed and radio.dll to be in the appropriate directory. You probably don't need to have the radio program itself installed though.

well, I finally got my heatsink in the mail today, and i'm setting my CAR PC up.

I installed the software, shut down & plugged in mouse, rebooted ... it doesn't work!! argg!!

I don't know what to do... radio.dll is in c:\windows\ ... the mouse is recognized and is installed correctly in windows device manager....

i have the input line plugged into the microphone jack (there isn't a line in on this motherboard), and I've told both the FM Mouse software and the radiator software to look at the microphone jack ...

I can't get this stupid thing to work. out of the 4 computers i've tried it on, it worked once. they all run the same version of windows ... i did nothing different... this is so weird...

any advice? do you have to register the radio.dll or anything?? thanks for any help...

hrmm ... it seems the only difference between all the computers ... the one that it ACTUALLY WORKS ON is only USB 1.1 ... all the other computers have USB 2.0. Would this be the cause? I wonder if I could set my USB ports to 1.1 mode...
