I also want to do this.
I'd like a wireless touch pad.
I think it's not too difficult to do.
If you get any data on it please keep me updated.

I have this touchpad off of a Dell Inspiron notebook i trashed. I would like to flush mount it in my car and connected it to my via with either ps2 or usb. Is there an adapter i can do this with or would i need to do pin outs in the like?

That's pretty cool I guess.
I want to embed one into my desktop case. (I never use the mouse but it would be nice to know where it is when I want it)
And a wireless as an armband. (silly I know)
I think that there are 2 or four wires. And it would be as simple and snip snip and reattach. I'm going to try it for a wireless mouse.
been done alot. if u know ur touchpad was an alps one. search and there is a long thread about it. pretty ez pretty nice.
think u out of luck on a wireless one.
