    Reading UIR Receiver Directly

    Hi,
    I built one of these UIR receivers using the PIC12C509 and TSOP1738. I want to use it to control a custom application I have written. I have connected the UIR to Hyperterminal and am not seeing anything. In all I have read on the UIR, there is no mention of what COM port settings to use. Does anyone know the correct settings?

    Nevermind, I found it 9600,N81. But that wasn't my problem. Apparently I was supposed to type 'IR', and the Pic spits out 'OK'. It's outputting characters now.
