    Exclamation *NEWB* Question on remotes....

I purchased an AST/NEC/LOGITECH Remote from Ebay.
Got it and loved it. It ran flawlessly on my win98 Machine with the provided drivers. Then I challenged WinXP with Girder. I finally stumbled my way into figuring out how to set all the keys I wanted to function with the remote. Then the major obsticle I found it that when I push a key it repeats like 5 times with one press of the button. I don't know how to remedy this.... It's probably simple but my patients is run thin. Somebody smarter than me shine a light of know how my way. Thanks in advance.

I guess I'll respond to myself on this one.....
We'll if anyone has run into this situation.
Inside Girder there is an anti-repeat time that you can change with a click on the event. It's defaulted to 0. This works really well with something you want a continuous response from (i.e. volume up/down or mouse cursor movements, etc...) I set mine to 150 for all other type buttons and it's working so much better now. I'm yet to figure out how to get Media Engine to slow down the repeat times though... It's wacked up.. But at least I know that i'm not crazy and the remote really works well... You just have to be smarter than the remote!
