just did this yesterday. cut apart a miniature keyboard and took out the touchpad. Had to cut off the wiring to the kayboard. I cut out a square section of the control panel I had to make, under the thumbpad keyboard. Then I glued the touchpad board under that flush. Then I soldered two momentary switches (red and black mini) into the little right/left click controller board and put them into place next to the touchpad.

The only thing else that I'd like to do is find some kind of like.... rubber coating stuff that I can put on the edge of the aluminum square I had to cut out... so it would look better... (without electrical tape - hahaha)... anyone know of anything I could use to coat those edges? (rubbery)
look at computer modder's websites they have some rubber edging material that people use around exhaust holes they cut for fans.

you could also use small rubber tubing from the hardware store, cut a slit down the center and glue it in place.
