I own an 02 a6 with the Bose in dash 6 cd changer. I am interested!
edit:
never mind, I got the registration to work.
The adapter will fit either HU or CDC cable in the trunk. You will lose CDC functionality thoughOriginally Posted by archimense

Iwill ZPCgx 2.4ghz cel, 256mb pc2700, external combo drive, 80gb 2.5 laptop drive, xp pro, usb gps, 7 in Lilliput TS , carnetix CNX1900. All mounted ghetto- still experimenting and tweaking.
Do you think it would be possible to set this up with a switch to allow controls to pass through to the CDC?Originally Posted by jbors
I assume you would need another plug, a switch, and some relays...
Yes you can have a manual switch between CDC and PC. Not sure you'll want to get CDC back though![]()

hmm, will it also work with Jaguar? I think they are in the same group as Rover?![]()
[edit]
****, its LAND Rover. The Ford group. W/e same **** different name![]()
So I guess this is not possible? At least not inte the near future... ?
[/edit]
Probably not possible on this version Maņana...
Thats why I said, 2002 - 2005 Range Rover models (afaik the only one that got BMW internals in the Land Rover family) is the only truck that supports this. Now, Ford has bought LR from BMW (bmw developed the current model of Range Rover, the one that is compatible with this, 2002-2005), and is replacing everything with Jaguar (Ford's luxury brand) internals...
I'm also a bit unsure, as it seems that some 05 models already have Jag electronics, which would mean these cant play![]()
damnWell, is it possible that it will become supported, or should I just try to sort something else out?
It will be taken care of, don't worry.

A buddy of mine just leased a BMW 330, he love the carputer but doesn't want to dismantle his leaser. If this is just plug and play, I think I can talk him into doing some testing for ya.
It is plug-n-play. Of course you will need to take out HU during the installation.
