USB 2.0 problems with Windows

Of those of you out there using Windows XP pro and a USB touch screen what issues have you encountered?
For the most part it is working pretty well for me execept occasionally upon bootup Windows does not detect the USB and my touch screen dosent work.
Normally when this happens it is just a slight irretation because i could unplug the USB then Plug it back in and everything would be ok. Latley though this dose not remedy the problem and I am forced to reboot.

Anyone else come across this? What have you done to try and fix this?

P.S. I know Windows sucks!

Add a momentary switch normally closed to the power line of your usb TS. Pressing it will disconnect the ts from the comp. Release that button and windows will redect the TS.

Or am I totally wrong ?

I have thought of installing a momentary switch to reset the USB but latley that dosnt even seem to work. I can unplug the USB and plug back in and still nothing happens and I am forced to reboot.

Thanks for your input though that is helpfull I was wondering if I could do it with just the power or if I had to disconnect all four.
