Is there any way to hack into the IRman and just take out the infrared reciever and mount it into my dash? The box it is is it way to bix. I kinda want just like a little hole for my infrared to work with Girder....If not are there any other IR receivers that are tiny like pin holes?

I tried taking it apart and soldering wires to the ir reciever. Turned out to be a big pain in the *** and it didn't work in the end. I'm sure its doable by someone with better skills than I
