Folding USB keyboard (PDA like) cheap

I found out that USB folding keyboards, like the kind used for PDAs, are going for quite cheap on Ebay, typically $16 shipped from that seller ($.99 for the item, $14.95 for S&H).

They seem to be intended to work with tablet PCs, but they should work on any PC. I've already ordered one from that seller, I'll post what I think about it when I receive it.

    I used one of those...

    possible keyboards

    PDA Keyboard

now that I had used it for a while, mine broke pretty badly... and I took pretty good care of it. I'm glad I bought it only because it was so cheap and I would've always wondered how good or crappy it would have been. But it was kinda crappy and cheaply made in my opinion.

Overall I like that mini keyboard more:

I bought that, haven't used it much, but it's pretty solid... gonna do that retractable cable mod that shotgunefx came up with. Tom61, I hope you have better luck with yours than I did... the damn thing is just too flimsy.

Hmm... I may just have to go ahead and get a PSK-3X00 for my small keyboard needs, then. That PS2 keyboard makes a good thumb-keyboard, but I'd like something that I could touch-type on.

    the frog pad you mean?

one of my friends had one strapped to the arm of his office chair because he is lazy and did alot of "one handed typing" things. yea you get the picture

anyway, i used it for a few hours

i just had a really hard time with it. i suppose if you got REALLY used to it it woud be fine, but
it would take alot of time.

Got my folding keyboard today. Seems nice. The two sides lock in, but the center doesn't. Makes it OK, but not great, for typing on your lap. I might bend a stiff peice of wire to put between two loops on the bottom to lock the center pieces together.

The keys pretty much feel the same as a notebook's keys.

Everything seems to work nice, except for a small anomaly earlier; all the right side keys either didn't register or registered as * or Backspace, until I turned Num lock on, then back off.
