    Media Center Remote

I was curious if the remotes used for Windows Media Center have a power button. If so, does this work to power on say a laptop without having to do some wiring?

I don't believe it powers the computer on, only off. At least mines. If it can be set up to power on I'd sure like to know how.

yea it can do it but you have to leave the power on to USB devices in standby or hibernate which is not a great idea in a car environment
