    just a reminder, refurbished...
and for those unfamiliar with woot... pretty much no return policy (unless defective), but it is a legit site, and the cheap prices are for real (not a scam).

I have three already, one for car, MCE pc and one for my music production station. two of them are the 100ft versions. love them.....

I love how you can shut the power off on the mouse and keyboard by presssing both channel and teach buttons. Thats big in the car for thte mouse. BTW, how are people charging this thing in the car. I was thinking of getting a dc-dc 9V ps for it but I didnbt think it was a good idea having the mouse constantly charging and eating battery power. If the power off when its in the charger it drains the battery.

Strohj, sure, I could do that or have it charge when the ignition is on, or even better have it charge from a solar panels but the problem is it dies or drains when theres not power and its in the charger, thus it needs to be constantly charging when its in the charger. Has anyone noticed this?

I have a few ways to combat this. I have a battery only charger in the house with an extra battery which you get with the 100ft. version. They also give you a shell for 2 AAA batteries so you pop in on the fly. I am covered with both these options. I also usually keep it off the charger when the car is not running and turn off the mouse by holding the two buttons. When I am in the car I can put it in the charger. I guess I am doing all I could now, dosent seem to be a simpler route.

hmmm, hold on.....I have a thought.......I guess I can put a diode in the charger so the battery dosent drain into the ac adapter (or 9VPS) when its sitting there with no power. WOW, I think I nailed it. I'll give it a try. If you dont turn it off, its good for 2-3days without being recharged.

Just took a look at woot.

That is a great price on the Keyboard and mouse but I think it is because these are the old Gyro mouse/keyboard set.

The new gyro mouse/keyboard combo is a lot nicer. They made the mouse more ergonomic and it improves range.
