USB Hub not working after coming out of hibernation

if unplugging the hub (from the computer) and plugging it back in works, you can use devcon to disable the hub before hibernate and enable it after hibernate (like I do).

Also, what OS are you running?

Im running windows xp pro. I just tried the patch not too long ago and it didnt work. It did help though because now the hub is always there instead of malfunctioning sometimes. Ill try using devcon because it eveything does work when i unplug it and then plug it back in again. Thanks

Hibernate/standby, resume, battery ac tool

I made this, mainly to run devcon, but I also have it run syncing software too

Ok I finally got everything to work right. Turns out my touchscreen was the one causing all the problems after coming out of hiberantion when connected to the hub. So, i just used Devcon and wrote a .bat file to disable it when hibernating and then enable it after coming out of hibernation. I also used Hibernation Trigger to run it. I would've used yours zPilott but Hibernation Trigger delays hibernation to allow the batch file to be run. Thanks for all your help.

yeah, that is on the list (should be pretty easy since it would work the same as delaying the shutdown).

Devcon does run quick enough though that my program will work. I just wish there was some way to find out if the system was going for standby or hibernate (or shutdown or reboot).

I got this prob every time that I forget to turn on my external HD. (PC hang and I have to reboot, but before this I have to either unplug the usb from the ext HD or turn it on).

Having problems with USB CD Rom drive at boot up. If plugged in before boot, it hangs at the Bios boot screen.

If I wait until Windows loads, no problem.

I have no idea. Maybe theres an option in the bios that deals with usb devices on startup?

I've seen this happen when I have a USB Thumb drive in during boot up on my PC at work.
