I can't find the model number anywhere but I can definitely recommend the BusLink DVD burners. I sold it with a system but had a few weeks to play with it and was very impressed. It is a dual layer capable burner and will of course read and write every format. It is really really small and never had any trouble even on some rough roads. It's about the size of two CD cases stacked on top of each other. I'm sure you'd be able to find it on their website. It will do both USB 2.0 and Firewire (I used the firewire). All you need is a firewire cable or USB cable as it gets it's power from the port (if your port supplies power which most non-laptop PCs will). It includes an adapter and "power injector" for ports that don't but I didn't need to use it except when testing it on one of my laptops once.
