Wireless Virtual Keyboards???

Hello,

Just wondering has anyone tried adding one of those little virtual laser keyboards to their carputer??? Seen them around quite a bit just wanted to know how well they work and if anyone has any experience with them??? Just need a flat surface somewhere in the car, its wireless works through bluetooth and would provide a full querty keyboard

Seen them a bit cheaper but as an example...

You'd look look like you were doing an air piano solo on your dashboard when you type.

if you can find a flat surface in your car big enough & flat enough let me know..... it won't work on curved surfaces & I've never seen any vehicle with a flat enough surface anywhere that this could be useful....

now if you had some sort of retractable flat board from the dash or something then maybe.... but I'm willing to guess that this wouldn't be very viewable in the daytime anyway

Will hold off on buying one yet then, lol... I was thinking on the passenger side in the glove compartment, when its open it has a pretty flat surface just one groove for a drinks holder can be covered up

like a flip out keyboard, anyway just a thought...

I've read numerous reviews while heavily considering one of these.
The basic verdict of all the reviews was - Don't buy it.
They don't work with touch typing, because the sensor is not advanced enough.
They do work with two-finger hunt and peck, but who has time to type like a kid when theyr'e using a car pc?
And yes, the issue of the flat surface.
I'm working on my own little design at the moment.
It's, well, sort of similar. But a lot more reliable.
Not releasing any information about it though.
Gotta see if I can find a company willing to make it up for me.
