The beta testing is open right now: http://www.indashpc.org/vbullettin/viewtopic.php?t=269
It will be more boards in about 3 weeks. So please be patient and watch the results of the beta testing either here or on my forum.
    I really appreciate your support.

I know you already have an adapter for the 98-02 honda accord, but the specs on this one says it is compatible too. I know you are looking for mainly the new cars you support for beta testers, but I think it is important to test for the backward compatibility that it should work for as well.

I have a double din CD deck for a 1999 Honda Accord EX V6 Coupe.

Let me know if I can make the beta! I'd love to test it out!

I believe I registered a while back but haven't really been following this.

I have an '01 Acura TL and would be interested in beta if you need additional users. I'm considering going to a blitzsafe, but it would be really nice to have some control of the HU with the steering wheel controls.

Here is what the new one spec says:
    2003-2005 Honda Accord
    2004-2005 Honda Element
    2004-2005 Honda Odyssey
    2004-2005 Honda S2000
    2004-2005 Acura TSX
Your Accord is an MBus and available right now here:
    http://indashpc.org/new/adapters/usbmbus.html
Just make sure it has round connector at the back.

    What is it ?
USB adapter allows PC to "communicate" with the stock headunit from: Toyota 1997-2005, Lexus 1998-2005, Honda 1998-2005, Acura 1998-2005.
It will play sound through the stock speakers, you will get control over your digital data and can display track information on your stock display.

    Why ?
In many cases PC can replace CD Changer with many more functions. Like playing MP3, OGG, video or even voice guided GPS on a long road. Why bother with very limited CD Changer if you can afford PC for almost the same price ?
It will not require changing your car's dashboard. Not even a bit !
You can place PC anywhere you want and "talk" to it from the very ergonomic and slick headunit keybord.

Can I see the demo ?
See the demo for VW Car2PC adapter: movie on my test bench (3Mb).

Can WinAmp or any other frontend use it ?
WinAmp and PyCar will be able to communicate to headunits, send and read commands from it.
Here is the source for the library. It has simple interface and can be compiled under VC6. The lib file included.
WinAmp plugin source will be available later.

    Which HU it supports ?
    I'll name car models/years:
    2003-2005 Honda Accord
    2004-2005 Honda Element
    2004-2005 Honda Odyssey
    2004-2005 Honda S2000
    2004-2005 Acura TSX
    1997-2005 Toyota
    1998-2005 Lexus
Actually, in your forum beta post, you list that the 1998-2005 model is covered as well (it is a little above the list that you just posted).

Again, I already knew that there was an Mbus that works with my honda. but this new adapter won't work with my honda?

Sorry I just changed that. Thanks for pointing it out.
Most Hondas/Acuras before 03 are MBus and they already covered.

Yes, I'm pretty confident that your Acura is MBus.

Just an update. I should get all the wires on May-1. Then I will send first adapters for beta testing.
