What about somthing like this? What do you guys think? I do not personally have any experience with a gyro mouse, but it does look promising. The keyboard is small too!

AND... you can get a protective cover, would be nice if i fabbed up a mount on the side of my center console for storage...
It looks like they have mulitmedia verions on their website. Could be cool to make it control other functions...
Would be nice to have a all in one mouse/remote!

Plus I wanted to point out that I thought that was a pretty good price.
Thanks
This is the exact keyboard and mouse that I use in my car. This is a GREAT price.
Before I explain how well the mouse works, DON'T use it while driving. In fact, DON'T try to operate the computer while driving. You'll end up wrecking your car. End of lecture.
The mouse works great. You hold it in you hand and pull a small trigger in the underside of the mouse. When that trigger is held down, the pointer moves when you sweep your hand back and forth or up and down. Once you get use to it, it works pretty good. The added advantage is that when you let go of the trigger, the pointer stays where it is. No sliding off to one side or the other.
It is also an optical mouse, so it will work if you just put it on the passenger seat.
The range is a few feet. At one point I had the receiver in the back of the car but it wasn't reliable and I'd end up operating the mouse by reaching between the front seats and holding it closer to the back. While looking at the screen in the front. Doesn't work well. I moved the receiver (USB) up front and it works fine now.
Every now and then it will seem to get confused and the pointer will start to skip a bit, then moves less and less and eventually stops. I don't know what causes this but it happens infrequently enough that it's usually a surprise than a frustration.
The keyboard works really well. I've never had a problem with it. It takes 4 AAA batteries. The mouse has to be recharged now and then. You can turn it off to conserve that batteries (usually lasts for 2-3 months for me that way) and just turn it on when you need it. I have a touchscreen so I don't use it that often, but it is very useful for more detailed work like moving files around and such.

the range is a few feet? it says 30 feet on the specs
I have the suite, but only use the keyboard (the mouse is still uncharged from day one as I have a tiuchscreen and a trackball). The keyboards works fine, had a few problems for a while when they (keyboard and controller) lost ID's with each other but they are now hooked up again. Controller is in the boot and don't have any issues with distance.
See website (link below)
Yeah that's a lie.. it's 3-5 at most. I have one inside and it won't work across the room (10 feet or so).Originally Posted by SuperFastCVT
