    Question touchscreen question

    Hi. I am looking into getting a tablet pc to use in my car. I have some questions. Are there two types of touchscreen? one that use by the finger and the other have to use a pen? How do i know if a touchscreen support the use of finger? I don't want to look for pen in my car . Thanks

    You'll need one with a passive digitizer. Nearly all of the tablet pcs have an active digitizer (pen only), because that was the microsoft rule for TPCs to get a Tablet OS license until a few months ago.

    Thanks. so it is the hardware. there is no way to make a active digitizer into a passive digitizer useing software?
