anyone hooked up a video ipod to a car screen? to play music vid/movies

the video ipod has a av output so can this be used with a car screen?

is the frame rate/resolution etc suitable to play video's and music?

Itz awesome,,, forget DVD player anymore...
I played it on my Xenarc 8" monitor and it looks great, my neighbor watched a movie on his HD tv and he said is acceptable,kinda of like watching a VHS.
The only thing is that you dont need to get APpl'es cable,, just get a regular cable from any store (CompuUSA has a nice retractable one) and you're set...

ive hooked up my ipod to my indash sony screen and it looks great...sound is perfect!!!

Road Runner alows you to play songs off your ipod and it would be great to play videos off of it also If more people request it then maybe quino will add that to rr.Imagine being able to play all your mp3 and videos off your ipod and use the same usb cable to charge it .

Ya, it works pretty good, had a xenarc, ipod video, av out cord and charge/ FM broadcast cable and we made a quick makeshift carputor for a trip to the mountain in a friends vehicle. Listen to pepper - kona town (good album) and foofighters all the way up and watched a few episodes of family guy and the steve o movie during lunch.

Wish we could have come up with a way to power the screen off batteries, and watch stuff on the lift on the way up!

Worked very well for what little effort was involved getting it together.

It looks great and with the dock, you can charge your ipod also. Only thing is to buy the software to convert your DVD. I had seen it on E60.
Go for it.
