    Optimus mini three keyboard

I didn't see this posted anywhere on the forum yet, so...

At $100 US it's expensive for only three keys, but mold it into your dash or steering wheel and be envied.

I could see using a couple of those. Wonder if they have a discount.

If that or the keyboard every comes out, great, but stinks of vaporware to me.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Looks legit. It's a small Russian design firm, they have to deal with long development times and small funding. Based on the pics of him holding the device, it looks real.

Maybe, maybe not. There's a difference between making a prototype and being anyone near ready to produce something in mass.

I thought from the original story (which was quite some time ago), that the keyboard was supposed to be coming around now.

I realize they are taking pre-orders, but companies that don't follow through often do this.

I'd like to see the keyboard come. Think it's great and a matter of time. Though who knows if they're the ones who will do it.

That's true. But atleast it's not only in planning. The fact that there are prototypes is atleast a good sign that it's possible it'll reach production.

I think it's certain that someone will do it once cost comes down.

I think your going to find OLED everywhere once it's cheap enough. Particularly as battery powered ads.

OLEDs are definitely going to be dominating once the cost goes down. I see more and more MP3s players with them. Many cell phones now.. who knows what's next.

According to the developer, the OLEDs last for about 5000 hours of continuous use. A screen saver mode, which will blank out the screens periodically, can extend the life of the device

Thats less than one year. I suppose for 100 bucks you could just buy a new one every two years or so.
