Shameless bump/plug again, but did you see the mouse in my first links on this post? Only four buttons, but a clickable encoder input and a ball for navigation too... and it's cheap enough to have no qualms about hacking apart

i don't see how you can all work with a mouse in the car, surely it's the worst method of user input while you're driving. anymore info on how much those joysticks cost from BMW?
