Will a Powermate work with iGuidance?

I've been thinking about getting one of the Powermates but am having trouble seeing how it could work with iGuidance. Using the keyboard arrows in iGuidance you cannot arrow to specific letters when entering an address.

My thoughts on how the Powermate would work is you dial left or right and the focus would change, push the puck for enter, much in the way the arrow keys work. Am I on track with how it works and my thought? Is there a way to make it work with iGuidance so you could enter addresses?

Thanks for any and all help.
