    ccStick rotary encoder

The maker of PhoneControl is also making a rotary encoder called ccStick.

He also has a free software called MWI to control it. MWI supports lots of other stuff like Car2PC, Mousewheel, rotary encoders, and more. It is programmable like Girder.

He is accepting preorders of the ccStick now

I thought the ccstick stuff was great! I'm still in the early planning stages of my carputer and I was going to use ccstick but I just went to their webpage and they are not selling anything anymore.

Too bad!! Maybe in was just bad timing and they will be back, I hope.

inspector10k, I just visted the ccStick site & it seems to be up & running. Why do you say they're not selling anything anymore? (BTW I hope you're wrong I want one too.)

Sorry guys, I dropped the ccStick (as you can read on the website) a couple of days ago. However, MWI will stil be available for free (without ccStick support).

If you're still interessted, please send a mail to [email protected]. Jens, the guy who invented the hardware, will take care of you.

    Zorro,
Maybe you can do some work with the guys making the control for the SpaceNavigator or the other new rotary encoder that they have out. Your software is great and it would be cool to see it implemented for the other stuff.

I have a SpaceNavigator myself and also the API... but I seriously doubt I'm gonna do this... but if I change my mind, it's not gonna be for free...
