Powermate users.. Lets stand up and be counted! I'm sick of my powermate not doing what it is SUPPOSED to be doing.. Not doing what we PAID for it to do.. While it's a beautiful piece of hardware, we all know the software sucks! Lets stand up and be counted and pressure Griffen Tech to DO SOMETHING other than release a junk driver update every two years that fixes NOTHING.

I propose an email written by a powermate user, myself if need be, that we can all send within days of each other. We need to pushback on Griffen and show them that we are not to be trifeled with.

I LOVE my powermate when it WORKS, but hate it when I go to use it and it's DOB (dead on boot). WRITE YOUR DA** software GRIFFEN!

Pulled it out of my car, was fun for 2-3 days. This thing can really suck up the amperage, girder is the only way you can get flexability. Drivers are a joke. Why did they not have a joystick axis? Anyway it's a paperweight beside me on my desk as I am typing this.

Gonna just take the 60 dollar loss, not worth writing to Griffin about.

it works fine for me

all i have it do is volume up and down. and push on it is mute like a regular stereo. im using beta drivers from like a year ago. and its hooked up to its own usb port on my motherboard.

That's all I wanted one for, but am considering sticking with a Head Unit

i tossed my headunit. everything works well enough for me. the only thing you really have to worry about is if windows crashes

but thats what the reset button is for

ive never had serious problems with mine. Keep the controls simple. and plug it into its own port. and force the drivers.

works like charm.

My Powermate works well when it works.. although I've lately been experiencing the dead-on-boot issue as well.

My Powermate is a beautiful looking paperweight on my desk and that is all it has ever been good for. Half the time you have to unplug it and then plug it back in for it to work, other times on resume you have to reboot just to get XP to recognize the damn thing. While it looks like it was made really well and it works great when it works, IT NEVER FLIPPING WORKS RIGHT!!

actually, if you just shut down windows when you turn off the car... and have it reboot from scratch.. i found that was alot faster than hibernation or anything like that. plus you dont have any issues when you start up =)
