External Harddrive in the USB Input on Headunit?

    Hey,
with the head units with USB input, can ya plug an external hard-drive into them, and the head unit reads from the hard-drive?

Can ya set it up somehow so that will work?

Can the hdd get the power required via the headunit?

    Thanks for any help, appreciated

You need to search the forums before asking questions. This has been brought up many times.
Some have tried it on some models and had no success. If you want to see for yourself, take a USB HDD to your car stereo shop with some music on it and try it out for yourself to see if it works.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.
