Measure the output of the charger they provided both without a load and with. Chances are it is closer to 5V anyway unloaded. If it is more than 5V, you could probalby use the USB 5V with no problem. Then mount a big board the size of a keyboard to your dash to provide the flat spot. That should look good.

If it does really need 4.3V then just use a rectifier diode to drop the 5V to ~4.3V.

Dont mind what the others think. If it works well for you then thats all that matters.
