Count me in. I have Thinkpad T23 / DEH-P5530MP setup on car and I should get this week another DEH-P5630MP to test this Winamp plugin out of car:

I am VERY interested... please let me know what I need to do to be a beta tester... I've been following this thing from the beginning.

Right now I'm hoping I can use a carPC to hook up a sirius satellite... I just bought a sirius tuner for my DEH-980BT and it only supports One line of text... so I'm hoping I can find a solution with your interface...

The price for non beta units will be likely in $84-86 range. Features will be upgradeable via firmware upload. So if something does not work you will be able to request the change. There will be even more features/upgrades explained on a web site. Will keep you posted on it.

jbors, with this ip-bus cable, will you be able to display multiple lines of information, like the ipod interface? Do you interface with the unit on a pixel-per-pixel basis, or are you simply sending text with some sort of separator that the unit formats it to the screen?

It would be awesome to be able to utilize the awesome display on my DEH-P980BT... I mean, the only time I get to see any pictures or anything is when I load album art on a CD...

is any of that possible? Also, how would you rate the response-time of the interface? Is it nearly instantaneous? Would it be feasable to switch to the "CarPC" source on the deck, and then instantly be able to go through menus?

I know that IP-Bus supports the multifuncion '7-way' commander wheel... (scrolling,) but is that something that you have been able to implement so far? Being able to scroll through directories and whatnot would be a dream come true...
