After having a quick look over the last 11 pages posted here i can see that people are buying big expensive cameras for the sake of the IR leds.
Currently i do have one installed on my VP commodore but do not have any recent pictures due to being lazy and to busy to get a chance to get out there and actually do anything more. But i would like to suggest and point something out to many people as this may help solve the size issues... .Dont get me wrong, I might have missed a post about this so far...
The camera i have used which has proven to work somewhat well without direct sun light but requires that you maybe use a cover lens/tint to correct the sun issue..

Okay so i cant find the item on the jaycar/dse website(s) but i know that one of them supply it... Pretty sure jaycar is the one as i dont goto dse unless i have to.
But this is more or less the item itself,
With the use of something like this, Does not need to be wired to a board. You can have the lights hidden away behind the window just along the parcel shelf or anything and will provide plenty of lighting for night time.
Have it switchable with the reverse lights along with the camera on a relay and there should be no dramas.
This is just a suggestion to others, But has proven to work for me

I got this cheap one from ebay. Installed it with license plate locks on my rear and it works perfect running 12v from the reverse light. Nice wide angle to it and works equally well in the day or night.

i dont like big ones neither, so i decide to choose this water proof , HD camera, price $60 or $70
seems high quality, i decise to buy one of those two, hard to choose, even not sure where to mount it, any advise?
this one is $70 camera,
- High Definition Display
- Waterproof Function
- Reversing Guard line Function
- Wide Angle: 130°
- Horizontal View angle: 80°
- Video System: PAL/NTSC(Optional)
- Total Pixels: 628×512
- Resolution: 420 TV Lines
- Mini Lumination: 2.0 LUX
this one is $60
differents are:
- Wide Angle: 170°
- Horizontal View angle: 120°

I asked the sales where should i mount it, they show me the position(in the circle)
Dose the first one's angle wide enough to see the back sight?

Thanks for the response, I found this out on another thread thats why I deleted my question.
I just got one of these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=110497879994
Mounts on the license plate, but I'm not sure how good its going to be but at 40 bucks its not too bad if it actually works wirelessly, but my experience with these kind of things haven't been all too positive.
make note to add mine in the next day or two
