It doesn't hurt at all to have them powered while the car is on. (Accessory power, not direct battery)
I just tired mine into my the same wires running to my rear 12-volt accessory socket.

Nice install .. !!

You don't have to mount the cam upwards, you have to turn it slightly, backwards..
Seeing three's behind you is important, but how about doubles, and especially singles ? etc ?

Rearview camera installed. You can see it in the top right corner of the licenseplate

in case of bears, you should allways remain inside your vehicle !

seriously.. It's a nice view, with the only problem that you can't see distances very well..

As of distances, I think the same problem more or less goes for all camera installations. But when you have learned the actual distances vs. what you see on the display, you can manage real good with these.

Instead of a bear, maybe next time you could use a porn star? I think it would give the viewers a better understanding of the depth percetion of the camera.
