Its built into the camera (it's a cheap one from ebay actually :P ). Couldn't find a way to deactivate them also.

    front facing camera

has anybody ever attempted to install a front facing camera somewhere in the front lower grill of their car to avoid hitting or smashing the carīs front lip against parking bump stops?

If I would like to go that way of having 2 cameras (rear and front), what would be the best solution to switch videos from rear to front and back to the car pc screen?.. is there a software I could use to do someting like this?

i thought about the same thing, but decided to take the chance to park a bit further from stuff, rather than install cameras there. you would probably need 1 in each corner...

I had one installed in my previous car, only problem was that it always was dirty... Still Iīm planning on installing in my current car, but this time I think it will be more protected from wind and weather.

Hi,this is look at my car from behind. The camera is mounted under the back lid handle.

Closer look at its mounting position.

The look in the rearview mirror

The camera is triggered by rear wiper button, I don't use it anymore.

And finally one thing that I'm most proud of. The rearview camera have it's own water cleaning.

I don't wanna be a product of my environment.
I want my environment to be product of me.

I have mine mounted into the rear lense. On my car this was just a reflector. It was a tight fit but works well.

I installed a full set of car rear view systme, sorry for my awful English. I can not explain how did I install it well. My sensors (4 pcs)were fitted on the rear bumper of my car, and the rear view camera is now installed on the license plate frame. I also have a rear view mirror monitor, which can diplay the image of the rear view, so it means, I can see the picture of which is behind of my car, a kid or a dog from the mirror monitor. It is well enough for me.

Allenpc, I did mine exactly the same way. I have a conversion van. I'll post some pictures in a few days.
