Please uninstall that driver and use this one instead:
Sorry for that.
I plug in the unit into the usb port on the car pc and I run through the installation. A little while after following through the steps I get asked to insert the "FTDI USB Drivers Disk" and if I click ok it asks me to locate the file "ftdiun2k.ini". I am running Windows XP SP2. I've tried pointing it to the car2pc cd which came with it but it cant find it there. I searched on google and downloaded a ftdiun2k.ini it installed the car2pc adaptor but then it created a new device called FTDI Serial USB and it wasn't able to find any drivers for that device. And in all cases I wasn't able to get the car2pc adaptor to work with RR or Winamp.
Tried using that driver but now it asks for ftdibus.sys. So I pointed it to the ftdibus.sys in the old driver files, it then asked for ftdiun2k.ini, so I downloaded a copy of the net and used that but then a new device called "Usb serial adaptor" is then created and it can't find any drivers for it.
Managed to get it to work, I got it to the point where it asked me to find drivers for the USB to serial Adaptor but I juct clicked cancel and it worked.
Just wanted to say that you can use Serial drivers and it will work, however I founfd out that it is not very stable. So I would suggest uninstall that and use D2XX drivers instead:
Just make sure you delete inf file from \windows\inf folder. It is usually named oem*.inf.
