    coolest programable knob your carputer has ever seen

    this here is something i'm going to build in my center consol to controll main functions of my carputer and i wanted to share this with you guys .....

    Looks like someone found one over a year ago: Griffin technologies powermate

    And someone had a problem with it over three years ago: Griffin Powermate
    Have you looked in the FAQ yet?

    Um...THis is very Old news. many people have implemented this into there systems!

    I fail to see the use for a knob. Seems kind of bulky anyway.

    welcome to the 21st century, have you just come out from your bombshelter you built for "Y2K" ...

    na im just kiddin' .. i have one they come in handy .. i have one hooked up to my mythbox to do volume and fastforwarding

    i've used it on my mac for video editing

    and on my pc for scrolling, application launching, volume control, all types of stuff

    Well, instead of reaching for the touch pad to increase/decrease/mute the volume, you can just turn or push the knob. It's easier to scroll up/down a playlist without constantly pushing on the touch screen.

    Yes, It's a bit big...but this was made for a desktop enviroment. But it's smaller then BMW iDrive

    knob's are handy when you want to adjust the volume quickly.
