Controlling lights with a central device

I have and am putting a bunch of lights into my jeep. By a bunch i mean 10 kc lamps, undercar led, rock lights, interior and exterior strobe lights and in car neon glowire. I dont really want to have two billion switches to turn all these on and off. So i was wondering if theres some sort of unit or device i could connect all these lights to and beable to control all of them in one place? If you know of any thing or have any better ideas let me know because i dont really want to fiberglass a new console with tons of switches. Also if theres a unit with a remote that would be awesome cause its basically a show car and it would be cool to beable to control the lights outside the car.

Look on ebay, there are tons of panels with switches/relays that would do just what you wanted. As far as a remote I have no idea unless you are running a pc too.

from ebay search for 'switch panel' under automotive parts & acc's.

You could fiberglass any of those in your dash, or buy switches and relays seperate.

sorry didnt specify. I dont have a pc in my jeep. and i dont want to turn all the lights on at the same time. I want to be able to do them seperatly but i dont want all the switches. I want something like this unit,http://www.plasmaglow.com/index.asp?...ch&pid=1269371, but with more channels. Is the only way im going to beable and do it is put a pc in my jeep? I wouldnt have a problem with putting one in but i dont have any room really.

You don't need to put a PC in the jeep to do it.

However that's what this forum is all about, so that's what we will tell you to do

try looking for a lighting for cars forum that specialises in that sort of thing.

Btw, you do realize that lcd controller is 400 dollars, right?

yeh i realize it is $400 i dont want that. i didnt know if there was something like that. i think i might just go ahead and take the pc out of my subaru and put it in my jeep itll make my life a whole lot easier.

id try a dei 6 channel reciever model 450r. that will control 6 circuits (you'll need relays to control the loads), maybe a remote too cuz i don't think it comes with one. And I hope you don't plan on going into deep water with all that gear. unless sitting in a puddle with a several hundred volt transformer is your cup o tea.
