If your monitor is mounted in your dash, you can possibly redirect one of the airvents, or part of one to aim at the back of the monitor. Then obviously turn the heat on, and warm it up.
I have a large problem with thishttp://www.cartft.com/catalog/item/?wm_item_id=580 monitor. when the external temperature is under the 14 C° the touchscreen does not work. As soon as the temperature is raised all returns normal and works.

or mount a old damaged non readable 3.5 inch hardrive behind the dash..that sucker will get hot and keep ya screen warm... At work we use a old dell powersupply connected to a broken hardrive underneath a fish tank for a beta to keep him warm.. Our data center is COLLLLLLLLLLLLLDDD the hardrive heats up his little tank.
CarPC v2.5 up and running - all hardware installed, skin configured, and iG tweaked like crazy. Now for OBD-II, and voice control, and camera plugin, and... :nutz: - it never ends!
That is funny. But also a great way to recycle an otherwise useless part.
Save the landfill space, and keep your fishy warm.![]()
I had the same problem. It is now solved, after feeding power to the tft from my regulated power supply! (Had to make some adjustments to the plug that should go to an ide disk, reply if you need details). It now has better picture too!
