Small game keypads as input devices?

I am wondering if anyone has tried the Wolfking FPS keypad as an in-car keypad. I'm not sure how big it is, but it looks cool for one handed input. I am guessing you can map the keys to often used functions or macros.

Maybe the Pro Gamer Command Pad would be good in the UK where it would be more usable on the left hand side. Works with Linux too!
