my guess is until it takes off & is adopted by a front end, which is why these were offered freely to the developers of the major front ends to begin with I would think....

I'm waiting to clear some paypal issues & then get one, hope I beat the price increase

Yeah I was thinking the exact same, was just hoping we could get a date... I know the exact time of when this thing will be useful with FE's is unknown, but maybe once an idea of it's integration is out there, there will be a deadline given. Even if that is like "end of this week and discount expires", type of thing.

Per the Immersion website "The PR-5000 is a custom product designed to customer specifications." In order to make a custom product the quantities requirements are much higher (100k+) and that's just not going to happen.

That's a promo because this is a new project and there isn't software support for it. It should be good for a least a month more. When the promo is pulled the retail price will likely drop at the same time although not as low as the promo price.

A week before the price changes I would be happy to post notice here that the discount code is about to expire.
