Sorry, when you said you couldn't jailbreak i thought that you meant you didn't know how to do it, not that you weren't allowed. In that case your best bet is to get an iPod and JB that. Looks like the only option I'm afraid.
yea, thanks for your help. well aware of my options. i have an ipod video that i use too. a touch would be cool but without data it really isn't worth the money. maybe apple will one day get over themselves and release an app or firmware update... ha!Quote:

Hey guys i have the iphone4 running iOS 5.0.1 any way to mirror onto in dash stereo monitor now without jailbreaking it? I think the only cable i need is http://www.scosche.com/consumer-tech/product/2182 could be wrong though. I dont know much about audio stuff especially in cars. Appreciate any input. Thanks
If you want native mirroring without jailbreaking you need an iPhone4s. You won't have a landcape home screen though, but still ok for videos etc.Quote:

Apparently the 4S and later devices CAN mirror with the appropriate cable.
What about using something like this?

I'm likely going to try http://www.airparrot.com/ with a customer's mac, since they can't use Apple's airplay (2009 model MBP) - works with their iPad2 though.
Can only try them for 10mins though - so hopefully in that time it works before you're forced to buy it.
I want to hook up direct to a screen...no PC.
