Forgive me if im repeating a post but i had a similar idea a while ago...i wanted to use the iphone to control a fusion brain (either via a pc or a written app for the phone (which would be preferable - if only i knew xcode)) this would not only be a very clean install but help the OSS community as well...just a thought
Social Engineering will always win....there is no patch for the human ;-X

I'm surprised it has not been discussed sooner. Try searching "RedEye" from ThinkFlood. RedEye is a hardware and software combo which communicates with iPods over wifi and relays the signals to whatever you want to control.
Hope this helps.
as much as i like the idea, you're using a high tech solution to an extremely low tech problem. most pumps are reversible and would require even more wiring when trying to operate them wirelessly. with switches, you would only need one switch per pump, i would prefer a switch which is momentary and latched. and then for the reversible function, you can have another switch control a relay to reverse the current to all of the pumps switches. all you would need is a place to mount these switches. this is the way that i would do it, however, when you find a cheap way to do this, i will be sure to try it out
