You can use any cable (s-video) if you use the universal dock, I've done this successfully on my OS3.0 iphone.Quote:

No, no case on my iPhone, and it's not connected to anything, because I play my music through the iPod underneath it. I can unplug the iPod and run the cable to the iPhone.
But now I've gotten a new iPhone I'm looking at replacing the iPod with my previous iPhone and mounting it in the car permanently.
